When Rational Team Concert (RTC) was implemented to create builds for the NYS Medicaid system (eMedNY) project on individual workstations, it was a major change from the previous method of using the system mainframe.

I created two types of graphics—a flowchart and a state diagram—to support the implementation. Both graphics went into the user manual, and were also scaled up and sent to a plotter for large display which a number of the developers had hanging in their cubicles for reference.

This is the flowchart which I made as comprehensive as possible to acknowledge how new and different using RTC was compared to the previous build method. I felt that the developers needed as much information as they could get to assist in the transition from mainframe to workstation builds.
