When Rational Team Concert (RTC) was implemented to create builds for the NYS Medicaid system (eMedNY) project on individual workstations, it was a major change from the previous method of using the system mainframe.

I created two types of graphics—a flowchart and a state diagram—to support the implementation. Both graphics went into the user manual, and were also scaled up and sent to a plotter for large display which a number of the developers had hanging in their cubicles for reference.

This is the state diagram which was actually the first state diagram ever utilized on the project. Up to that point, they documented their processes using flowcharts and occasionally swimlane diagrams.
